What do we do?
Since 2010, Instituto Natura (iN) has been working to transform public education and ensure quality learning in Brazil. In 2020, the organization expanded its operations to Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. In these six countries, iN also supports the full and educational development of Beauty Consultants.
Our work focuses on strengthening the education ecosystem in Latin America through coalitions and strategic alliances with third-sector organizations to support public policy implementation by national and sub-national governments, with Literacy at the Right Age and Secondary School as priority issues for our work in the region.

How do we do it?
We collaborate with public authorities in several countries, as well as third-sector partners, experts, researchers and co-investors, to strengthen the education ecosystem in Latin America.
In Brazil, we are strategic allies of the Lemann Foundation and the Bem Comum Association and together we form Brazil Collaborative Literacy (BCL), which is co-financed by Co-Impact and UBS and contributes to the creation and implementation of policies for Literacy at the Right Age throughout the country. To strengthen Full-Time Secondary School (EMI), we work in coalition with the Sonho Grande and Corresponsabilidade pela Educação Institutes.
Brazil’s successful experience in building alliances has guided Instituto Natura’s work in Latin America. In Argentina, we support public literacy policies in partnership with the Perez Companc Foundation, Dale, Grupo de Fundaciones y Empresas (GDFE) and Conicet. In Mexico, Instituto Natura also focuses on literacy for children at the appropriate age, in alliance with UNESCO, Zorro Rojo, Faro Educativo, Via Educación, Coppel Foundation and Compartamos Foundation. The Institute is beginning its literacy work in Peru, partnering with Enseña Peru and a municipal education agency.
In Chile and Colombia, alliances are being forged for secondary education. In Colombia, we’re working with Corpoeducación as a technical ally and Sura and Nutresa foundations to transform secondary education. Chile is working to reduce learning inequalities, particularly in public schools. Our efforts in the country aim to support public policies that enhance learning in secondary schools, with the Centro de Investigación Avanzada en Educación Universidad de Chile (CIAE) as our technical partner.
Sustainability
Instituto Natura is funded by the resources of the Natura Crer Para Ver, the largest social product line in Latin America. Therefore, every Beauty Consultant who sells and every person who buys Crer Para Ver are part of an international network for Education.
